Faith in Christ, Not the Law

Galatians 3:1-14

3
Chapter 3
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2 I want to learn only this from you: Did you receive the Spirit from works of the law or from hearing with faith? 3 In this way, are you foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completing in the flesh? 4 You suffered so many things in vain—if it really was in vain. 5 Therefore, the one who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you—does he do it from works of the law or from hearing with faith? 6 just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness. 7 Understand, then, that those from faith—these are the sons of Abraham. 8 Now the Scripture, foreseeing that God justifies the nations by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, "All the nations will be blessed in you." 9 so that those from faith are blessed along with the faithful Abraham. 10 For all who rely on works of Law are under a curse, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them." 11 But it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, that the righteous will live by faith. 12 But the law is not from faith, but "The one having done them will live in them." 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone hanging on wood." 14 so that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
